Blue Chip Stock Farm is a God given gift to me and a life long dream come true. God gives us all a natural talent. Mine was a love and ability to work with animals. As a little girl I used to dream of growing up, marrying and living on an animal farm. I’ve carried that dream, and my love for animals with me all my life. I could never seem to find a way to make it work. That is until now. In 2002, at the age of 46, I finally realize this is where God has led me. |
I am now living out my dream and utilizing my God given talent thanks to alpacas and fainting goats. We bought our 14+ acre farm in 1993 and our old farmhouse dates back to 1874. We started the long process of doing a major face-lift. My husband, a man of many talents, has done all the work himself. He has remodeled our old farmhouse, taking it clear down to the studs and starting over again. He has also added a garage, barn, sheds and fencing. He accomplished all this while working outside of the home. We still have many more projects to tackle, taking them one at a time. Our 14+ acres consists mostly of wooded hills with approximately 3 – 4 acres of pasture.
Like most people, I did a lot of research. I visited several farms and spent MANY hours on the internet. However, due to my love of animals, I was ready to jump into this business after only one short month. We made our first purchase on Memorial Day, 2002 and haven’t looked back. |
